IntroductionIntroduction in EnglishThe purpose of this page is to give non-Danish speakers/readers a short overview of recumbent activities and contact persons in Denmark. At the bottom of the page is a link which will take you to a list of other pages on this site, written in English. However, most of the links on this page will lead to Danish pages (just in case you can read that). OverviewOur main association is called "Liggecykelforeningen" (roughly: "Recumbents Association") and has existed for quite some years. In 2006, its name was changed from the former "HPV-Klub Danmark" to the present. Apart from the national association, at least one other formal association exists: "Aalborg Liggecykel klub" which concentrates its activities around the city of Aalborg. There used to be a similar association in Randers, but we're not sure it exists anymore. Locally, several informal groups of people meet regularly for recumbent activities. Examples exist around Hillerød, Odense and Vejle/Horsens. Contact personsYou're welcome to contact anyone in our committee. The Danish word for "chairman" is "formand" if that's who you're looking for. WebsiteThis website is content-wise driven by all members of the association, and technically by the webmaster. At least that's the theory, and it might even happen. Until then, only a few people contribute, but every contribution counts and is highly regarded! Members magazineLiggecykelforeningen publishes a members magazine 4 times a year. It's A4, full-colour, and consists of 16-20 pages (due to postage considerations 20 pages is maximum). We're happy to exchange articles with other magazines, and have "magazine swap" agreements with other national associations in Europe. Contact the editor about this if you're the editor of a recumbent magazine and want to set up such an agreement. And finally, the link to other pages written in English: |
